Analog Digital Interface

GENERAL OVERVIEW
Filippetti Group’s ADI device allows the third-party devices communication with the proprietary Hardware architecture (Gateway, via Smart Network communication protocol) and Software (IoT Smart Platform).
The device is powered by batteries, simplifying the integration with third-parties, as it does not require additional wiring. The ADI is able to communicate via direct connection to third party devices, with RS232 and RS485 protocol.
It is also equipped with a 4-20 mA connector, to allow integration with a wide range of commercial sensors.
Finally it is equipped with 4 input interfaces that make it able to read the status of a pure contact (with pulse counting function).
MAIN ADVANTAGES
- Multiple integration: equipped with various interfaces (RS232, RS485, 4-20mA), it allows the integration of a wide range of devices with Filippetti Group architecture.
- Battery power supply: the device is low power and battery powered, which makes it integrable in multiple contexts without any additional wiring.
OPERATING PRINCIPLES
COMMUNICATION: SMART NETWORK PROTOCOL
The device integrates a UHF wireless module (with FSK/LoRa modulation), which allows bi-directional communication with a Filippetti Group gateway, through Smart Network proprietary protocol.
SPECIFIC MEASURES: PULSE COUNTER
The device is equipped with 4 inputs (pulse counter function). It also integrates a 4-20 mA connector for reading analog sensors that are equipped with this interface.
POWER SUPPLY: by BATTERY
The device is powered by 3 AA batteries (3.6 V, 2200mAh).
ADDITIONAL COMPONENTS
The device is equipped with two serial interfaces (RS232, RS485) which allow the integration of compatible third-party devices (after customization on the firmware side).
